The file can not be executed because it is intended for SP1 (Service Pack 1) and I (and probably the rest of the world). USB Drivers for Windows XP Service Pack 2. Iwas able to install the identical driver on second machine who's operating system is XP SP2. I am able to sucessfully connect to the serial port device on. This article describes a problem where the USB 2.0 drivers do not appear to update after you install Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a computer that is.
Hi, I am unable to instal drivers in Windows XP Prof. SP2 for VOX USB 2.0. When I instal drivers from manufacturer's CD, instalation tells me, that it cannot instal some update for XP SP1. But I have SP2, so it should be OK. Then, after computer restart, I connected VOX and windows could not recognize it and asked me for drivers.
I tried to instal drivers manually from the cd, but windows always tells me, that it cannot find driver on CD. I tried to download latest drivers from MSI website, but I had the same problem with it. What should I do? I am unable to use the TV tuner Could anybody write me exact procedure how to instal it, please please! Thank You very much. (I have tried to instal it on another computer with Windows XP Prof.
SP2 and it did not work also. The same problem.). Yes, my system has USB 2.0.
It is P4 2.4GHz Northwood, motherboard: MSI 648 Max, 1GB of DDRAM (333MHz), MSI GeForce 4 MX 460, SoundBlaster Live! Player 1024, pci card with aditional USB 2.0 ports (NEC chipset), SIS 900 pci NIC, 2x WesternDigital Caviar 1200JB, pci IDE controller SiliconImage 0680a (harddisks are not connected as RAID), DVD-ROM Pioneer, DVD burner LG GSA-4163B. I have tried to connect VOX directly to USB port on motherboard and also to NEC USB pci card, but it did not work anyway. I have disconnected all USB devices from the computer, except the mouse. Windows is updated from MS Windowsupdate website. I use Windows XP SP2 firewall and Microsoft Antispyware beta and antivirus software (I have tried to turn them off during the TV VOX installation, but it did not help). And I also use power supply for TV VOX.
Shady1 I am having the exact same problem that orso is having. I have tried installing my vox tv box on a desktop computer with xp pro sp2 and it worked great.it just doesn't want to work on my notebook 1.8 gig pentium M with 1 gig memory and a radeon 9700 card with 4 very useable usb 2.0 ports. The CD lets me install the driver but when I install MSIPVS it tells me that setup has detected that the service pack version of the system installed is newer then the update you are applying to it.You can only install this update on service pack 1.
I tried downloading Stu's MSIPVS 3.0 as he suggested which seem to finish properly and left an ICON on my desktop but would not open for me. If anyone has a fix for this please let me know.
I too have recently purchased a VOX, and have been unable to install it. I install the drivers, reboot, then the MSIPVS, then I connect the device, and windows is unable to find drivers for it. I have also tried the drivers available from the MSI website, without success. I have tried Win 98SE, Win 2000 and Win XP.
Also, the experiences were conducted on usb 2.0 ports on a desktop, on usb 2.0 ports available on a notebook by a pcmcia adapter, and I have tried it with and without the MSI power supply. So far, despite all the above experiences, I have had no succes, and I am thinking of returning VOX today to the store where I purchased it. But, before, I would like to be sure that I am not missing out on anything.
Could someone give me (us) a hand? Thanks Paulo. I E mailed support@msi.com.tw they told me to download the drivers and msipvs software from. I did as they said. First uninstall everything previous. Restart the computer, Download the new driver & msipvs software.

Save them to your desktop. Open the msipvs icon. Double click on the setup.exe.
Install your serial number from the cd provided with your tv box. If this doen't work try erasing everything, reinstalling your OS and downloading everything again in a clear system. It worked for me without having to reinstall my OS.
Ans so far so good MSIPV3 seems to be working good.
