Water will clean carpets but not very well. For the best results don't put any cleanser in your machine. Soap can clogged up the lines in your machine. When you have soap dispensed or or in the water in your machine you are squirting it onto the carpet and sucking it back up at the same time.the soap and water isn't on the carpet long enough to clean well unless you keep going over the same area many times. To clean better it's really important to vacuum thoroughly going slowly in multiple directions to get as much dry, gritty soil and hair and dust out as possible, it's easy to get these soils out when the carpet is dry if your vacuum is working properly. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. Get a spray bottle or sprayer and put hot tap water in it, add the cleaning solution to the hot water and spray enough on the carpets to get the face fibers damp.let the hot water solution sit on the carpets 5 or 10 minutes and then use your machine to clean and rinse the soap, water and loosened soils from the carpet fibers.
Repeat if necessary. Your carpets will be cleaner because you allowed adequate dwell time for the soap and water to work on the sticky greasy soils attached to the carpet fibers and stay clean longer because the soap is rinsed out of the carpets.
Pressure Washers - Karcher 1105 Vaporapid Steam Cleaner manual- question about Pressure Washers. Operating manuals. Operating manuals. Synonyms for operating instructions, like user manual, operating manual and user handbook.
Your carpet cleaning machine will last longer too because the water lines, pumps, spray jets, heaters, etc can't get clogged with soap gunk if you don't put soap in it. The method I'm describing is how the best professional carpet cleaners clean carpets. Hiring a quality carpet cleaner cost more up front but the carpets may stay clean two or three times longer, saving a lot of money in the long run.
If you clean your carpets using this dual process method you may do a better job with a small portable home or rented cleaner than hiring the average carpet cleaning professional who is trying to give you the lowest price. Mar 06, 2017. This is an old post but I thought it might help anyone having this problem now to post the solution. The internal water pump feeds two water delivery hoses on the Bissell Spot Bot.
One goes to the spout located in the center of the rotating brushes. The other feeds the spout located on the underside of the brush at the end of the hose. There is a water shut off valve that is actuated when you pull the plastic tube at the end of the hose out of the plastic tube it is fitted into during storage. When you pull the end of the hose out of this plastic fitting a button inside is no longer depressed and a valve shuts of the water flow to the rotating brushes. If this valve is clogged with gunk it will not release when the hose end is pulled out and water will still come out of the rotating brushes even in manual mode. This is a mechanical fault not an electronic fault.
To resolve the issue you can mix a solution of vinegar and hot water and fill the water tank with it. Put the rotating brushes over the sink. Remove the hose and fit the scrub brush to the end. Start the machine in manual mode. The sink will catch the water coming from the rotating brushes area.
Now point the hose end at the sink to catch the water and pull the water release trigger. While holding the trigger press and release the black button inside the tube that holds the hose end during storage. This moves the internal workings of the valve. Do this till all the water is gone.
At some point during this procedure you will notice that when you release the black button the water will stop coming from the rotating brushes. You problem is now solved. If this does not work after two tanks of hot water and vinegar then the valve would need to be removed and soaked in a solution or replaced. This is a much more complex procedure that requires disassembly.
Maybe a youtube video is in order. If your lucky the procedure above will solve the problem. Nov 05, 2012. If you have not yet found a solution, then here are some steps to take. The soap dispenser only works on low pressure!!!!!!!
So you have to REMOVE the high pressure Sprayer so that all you use is the Trigger Gun without the Extender. Pull out the thin Plastic Hose with the filter attached in the end, and insert into your container of detergent.
It will only splatter the detergent over the area you want to clean, so you will then need to REATTACH the SPRAYER into the hand gun to work with the soap to lather, clean and spray of till clean. This seems to be the way the system works on this model.also known as K2.36M (AU) in Australia or (EU) in Europe on the Karcher.com.au site then Service then Manuals. Or on the link below. Hope this helps any of you who has misplaced their Owners Manual just like I did and had a great problem trying to find a link as Karcher doesn't recognize the Model No: as Winner 10 or 11.
Cheers, Luke Nov 19, 2010. Below is a link to dirt devil. Just put in your model# for the manual. However most cleaners you buy give you the cleaner to water ratio on the bottle.
Also you do not need to use Dirt Devil cleaner. All carpet cleaning solution are pretty much the same aside from the fragrance.
The best ratio that I have found is approximately 5oz of cleaner for every gallon of water. Make sure you use hot water. Using cold water or waiting to long to use the mixture can reduce the efficiency of the cleaner. Hope this helps. Sep 04, 2009. Dear jrider784, I solved a problem like this on FIXYA, just a few months ago. I gave this solution.
Try to fill the machine from somewhere else. You can do this from the outlet.
If you manage to do this, put on the machine. ( now you know that when there is hot water in the machine, the tap goes round free for safety). Now as the water starts to cool down.start trying to see if you can unscrew it.
My plan is that with the hot water, the safety will start to work again. If the cap does not release the safety on cooling, then there is no other way but to destroy the cap and replace with a new one. Very important to mention that this job must be done by a qualified technician or some one who knows what he is doing. Working with hot water is very dangerous. Regards, Fulltech. Jul 27, 2009.
Karcher uses a combination of numbers and letters to specify their model numbers. The numbers can vary in length and style, but are usually well labeled. Karcher type numbers almost always include an eight-digit number that follows this format: X.XXX-XXX.X. You will need both a Karcher model number and type number when searching for parts for your Karcher equipment.

Check the front of your Karcher pressure washer for the model number (e.g., K4.91), then look on the chassis to find the silver data plate that contains the other information you need.
